  • This spice is offered raw and "compounded”, which means that it is blended with turmeric and/or rice flour to provide a more useable spice. In its raw form, it is extremely strong. Overuse of this spice can doom your meal. For this reason, the compounded Hing is probably the best option for most Western chefs.

Compounded: We have a bold blend with 30% Hing, 15% organic turmeric, 55% organic rice flour, and a 20%/15%/65% blend. Custom blending is also offered. The high amount of rice flour helps to cut the incredibly strong aroma and flavor of this spice. Blending in more than 15% turmeric shifts this blend to a turmeric-hing spice.

Raw Hing: This is dried white Hing coarse ground. This product will appeal mainly to Indian customers. This product is sold by the pound, MOQ for raw Hing is 5 lbs.

Asafoetida has a strong aroma and will challenge your packing area's ventilation. We suggest you work with us to package your containers at our facility. Bulk Hing is packaged in 5 lb plastic nuclear containers.
