Processing
-
We develop long-term relationships with farming communities where we offer training and innovations to deliver cleaner, more vibrant-looking, and better-tasting products for our customers.
Our goal is to deliver unique spice that is bottle-ready, requiring no further processing on our customer's part.
We work directly with farmers to ensure the best possible flavor, sanitary conditions, and the freshest product. Many of our products are rare spices, often not available through the commodity chain.
Noble House Spice can provide traceability for our products. Traceability can be provided to match your processing regimes. Product lots can be established at the province level, district level, farm group level, or even to distinct farmers.
Traceability designations must be pre-arranged. Lots sizing should match your HAACP practices and how you handle the cleaning and product labeling of your lots.
Noble House Spice guarantees that our products are from the country of origin stated. This is critical, especially when we are working in volatile areas like Afghanistan and Syria with products like Saffron and Aleppo Pepper that are frequently falsely labeled to the advantage of nearby countries offering imitations.
-
Noble House Spice is fully compliant with FSMA regulations. The product is first cleaned locally in the harvest region to remove foreign matter. Noble House Spice leverages the low cost of labor to clean the spice in source countries, then utilizes cleaning equipment, like cyclone cleaners for black pepper. Once the preliminary cleaning is completed, we ship to the USA and directly to EtO Sterilization if necessary. Noble House Spice then grades and sorts the spice in our facilities in northern California. All our spice is then tested for food safety. A COA is provided for every lot at the time of delivery. Noble House Spice uses Certified Laboratory for our COA testing.
As Noble House Spice progresses, we are introducing cleaner post-harvest techniques to our farmers. We have farmers dry in flat baskets instead of in the dirt and wash before the drying process for some spices. The result is a visibly cleaner product.
-
Noble House Spice delivers the best nutritional product possible. Our products are never irradiated to ensure the nutritional value remains in the spice. Noble House Spice uses ETO cleaning at Sterigenics in Los Angeles if necessary. The products are non-GMO. We do not add salt to any of our blends except the salt-based blends.
-
Noble House Spice works directly with farmers to maximize the flavor of our products. Since Noble House is not buying through a commodity chain, Noble House Spice team has a unique ability to improve product quality by training farmers to improve their growing techniques and post-harvest processes. There is no reason why spice must be delivered in the same form as it was done hundreds of years ago. With direct connection to the farmers, Noble House Spice can guide them in producing new and improved spices.
